Mohan, For this you'd need to look out for player that supports callbacks. For example video players like JWPlayer, Flowplayer supports callbacks, using which you can keep a track of which user has watched a video for how much durations. You could take a look at http://php.net/manual/en/datetime.diff.php allthough the examples give, only mention a date, it should work with a time as well.
