Please suggest me some tutorial for "Getting Started with AJAX using PHP"...... 2 comments »

Started by Bhavana Hotchandani, Teaching PHP and Java, enjoying both subject

What is it you are trying to achieve?
Are you trying to achieve a specific task or intending to learn more about AJAX and how it can be used with PHP?
If you are intending to achieve the former, I would suggest downloading and getting to grips with a javascript framework such as JQUERY or Prototype.js. ( http://docs.jquery.com/Downloading_jQuery ) or ( http://www.prototypejs.org/download ). This will enable you to do some complex AJAX queries very easily.
( see http://www.php-learn-it.com/tutorials/starting_with_php_and_ajax.html for a basic example with Prototype and PHP)
If you are intending the latter, then I would suggest indepth study of javascript and PHP.
Go to http://www.w3schools.com/ to learn the basics.
I would suggest Learn PHP first (if you don't already know it).
Learn Javascript next
finally Learn AJAX
This will give you a good grounding in the subject. By Nick Bloor, Developer at Worthers
