David, you raise an interesting point. It does appear that Twitter played a key role. Moreover, like the other countries you mentioned, it also appears action was also taken in the U.S. to attempt to block the communications. Additionally, while it seems that Yahoo publicly apologized for blocking emails regarding the #occupywallstreet movement, the attached article suggests that there is still legitimate concern as to whether it might happen again under similar circumstances.
